Richard Folea (“we”, “our”, “us”) built the GeoPinQuest mobile app (the “App”) as a free, ad-supported game. This document explains what information the App collects, who it’s shared with, and how you can control it.
We do not directly collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) on our own servers. We have no user database. Everything below describes data collected by third-party SDKs bundled into the App to enable ads, in-app purchases, and Google Play Games features.
When you sign in to Google Play Games from within the App, Google collects your Play Games display name (an alias you choose, not your real name), your gamer ID, your friends list (if you grant permission), your achievements, and your leaderboard scores in this App. This data is stored on Google’s servers under your Play Games account and is governed by the Google Play Games Services Terms.
You can sign out of Play Games at any time by opening the Google Play Games app on your device, and you can delete your Play Games profile via https://myactivity.google.com.
Signing in is optional. If you skip sign-in, the App works fully offline and Google Play Games collects nothing.
When you purchase “GeoPinQuest Pro” to remove ads, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive a purchase token and product ID from Google indicating you own the entitlement — we do not receive your name, payment method, credit card details, or email address. Google’s collection of your payment information is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Payments Privacy Policy.
Your Remove Ads entitlement is stored on Google’s servers under your Google account, so if you install the App on a new device signed in with the same Google account, the entitlement restores automatically.
When you use the free version of the App, Google AdMob serves banner ads at the bottom of the screen. AdMob collects your Android Advertising ID (a resettable identifier that does not identify you personally), your device’s approximate location (country/region, from IP address), device model, OS version, coarse ad-interaction data (impressions, clicks), and information required to serve non-personalized or personalized ads based on your Google account’s ad settings.
AdMob’s data collection is governed by the Google Ads Privacy Policy.
You can:
Local game data (your scores, unlocked achievements, and settings preferences) is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
The App is not directed at children under 13. It does not collect any personal information from children knowingly. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 provided information to us via any bundled third-party SDK, please contact us so we can investigate.
If we ever change how the App collects data, we will update this policy and update the “Effective date” at the top. We will not retroactively use previously collected data for a purpose not disclosed at the time of collection.
